Tero Uuttana aloittaa TOKYOn toiminnanjohtajan sijaisena helmikuussa

Tero Uuttana has been selected as the substitute executive manager of TOKYO

Tero Uuttana has been selected as the substitute executive manager of TOKYO starting in February while Anna Merikari is on maternal leave. Uuttana has worked for several years as a producer in Yläkaupungin Yö arts festival and he has also been active in The Student Union of the University of Jyväskylä. He has graduated from University of Jyväskylä’s cultural policy master’s program. In addition to tasks in TOKYO he will be also coordinating AYY’s “the year of arts” project and doing also student advocacy.

“It’s nice to get work for student community. This year will be very interesting because of the moving of ARTS. There’s going to be lots of new things to learn and in Autumn lots things are going to be new when ARTS and TOKYO starts their activity in Otaniemi” comments Uuttana about his new duties.

TOKYOs executive manager works with the board, especially with the chair person. Executive manager stays up to date with university- and higher education policy and always has the best tips of what things board should take care of. Taking care of TOKYOs spaces, assets and property managing are also part of executive managers job, as is being a link in between TOKYO and school management.
