Me, a member of the board?

Yes! TOKYO’s board organizes events and does student advocacy work in Aalto ARTS. If you are interested in, for example, organizing parties, the degree reform process or the new campus, affecting the indoor air problems or developing the tutoring in our school, TOKYO’s board is just the right place to work on these things!

Of course you don’t need to be interested in all of these things: each board member has their own sector, so everyone can concentrate on the things they want to work on most. Also, you don’t need any earlier experience – learning by doing is how it goes!

There are ten members in TOKYO’s board and the board works from January to December. Summertime is for vacation!

So what does the board do?

TOKYO’s board meets once a week on a meeting. Each board member works also with their sector stuff during the week. For example the event correspondent aka Sheryl works with organizing TOKYOs sales and Arabia Maskerad, and the board members doing student advocacy are working as a student representatives in different workgroups and co-operating with ARTS staff.

And how do I apply to the board?

Well that’s easy: just show up in Node at November 19th and tell that you are interested in working in the board. In case you cannot be present there, send an informal applications to puheenjohtaja(at) tokyo.fi and tell shortly about yourself and why you’d like to be elected to the board.
