Apply for Aalto ARTS student tutor in academic year 2015-2016!

Job description and salary:
As a student tutor you have an important role in supporting our new students’ beginning of studies! You will be present when the new students start their studies. You are an expert and inspirer who knows where to find help in your school and department. You are the one who can tell about students’ rights and responsibilities and is familiar with the most important rules and regulations that concern our students. You can tell about the way things are done here –and also about the student culture!
The university and student union will organize tutor education (4.-7.5.2015) as a part of the job. In addition to that you will receive support and education from ARTS Learning Services. Work itself begins in 24.8.2015 with an orientation week, meant for new students.
The salary, based on a report, is 200 euros per semester – that is, autumn and spring together, 400 euros. Two tutors will be chosen from each department of ARTS (10 altogether). In addition to that, two international student tutors will be chosen.
Language requirements:
Student tutors: Finnish and English, Swedish is considered as a plus
International student tutors: English, Finnish and Swedish are considered as a plus

How to apply:
Application period: 17.3.–6.4.2015
Send a motivation letter (max. one A4 page), in which you tell briefly about your background and explain why you want to become a student tutor. Also specify in the letter which position you are most interested in (student tutor or international student tutor). Mark down clearly your department and programme in Aalto ARTS as well as your personal and contact information.
