TOKYO hosts an open air picnic for the AALTO ARTS students, friends and family during Mayday in the Kaivopuisto park in Helsinki.
Feel yourself warmly invited and come by to dance, or bring your picnic-blanket and enjoy the good vibes! TOKYO will have snack station open and some alcohol-free drinks for sell. Also, Morpheus and Trinity will have a stash of red and blue pills for you (just candy!!! 🤠)
Mayday celebration is a long Finnish tradition and especially the one in Kaivopuisto, so do not miss it! 🎉 🎉 🎉
The final location of the DJ-tent spot will be published on our IG during the morning

Also this year, TOKYO & Sellers will show our solidarity for Ukraine and Palestine and sell artworks for donation. TOKYO will have its own table, where Ukraine and Palestine related items will be sold, such as postcards, posters, and patches.

Oon Miina, GRRR:n tutorvastaava. Graafisen ainejärjestö – GRRR ry on Aalto-yliopiston Taiteiden ja suunnittelun korkeakoulun Median laitoksen Visuaalisen viestinnän muotoilun opiskelijoiden ainejärjestö, joka edustaa Visuaalisen viestinnän muotoilijoiden kandi- ja maisteritason opiskelijoita.

Odotan kovasti et pääsen tutustumaan meidän uusiin opiskelijoihin ja näyttämään mitä kaikkea opiskelijaelämällä on tarjota. Oon myös mukana järjestämässä uusille opiskelijoille tapahtumia. Me tutorit varmistetaan yhdessä teille hyvä startti opintoihin!

Hi everyone! 🌞 It’s Mari here, a 2nd year design BA student and NuDe tutor responsible for ‘23. I vividly remember the excitement, joy, and confusion in the beginning of my studies. Funnily enough, I got to experience these feelings again as a tutor! That is why I’m here to help both our new students and tutors to navigate through challenges, while having fun and celebrating together. Our design student association, NuDe, warmly welcomes all designers and design-minded people to join our community! 🦭💖

I oftentimes identify with meerkats: I’m vigilant and social, my active times are mostly in the early morning and late afternoon, and I like to hide in a (blanket) burrow at times 🌸

Hi!!
We’re first year new media students and we want to make your life easier. We want to make sure the tutors have the tools they need to make first years feel at home and make sure DADA is organizing events that are catered to the needs of incoming first years.

IDBM:

Hey all! I'm Kalle, the tutor responsible for IDBM Klubi. Klubi is the association for International Design Business Management students and is a cross-disciplinary master's program combining all six schools here at aalto.

I'm here to help our tutors navigate through the storm called orientation! Our plan is to have the most memorable orientation and get everyone together regardless of their discipline<3

Hello new tutors!
My name is Noora Jokela and I study Master’s programme in Fashion, Clothing and Textile Design. I’m from Oulu, Finland, but Helsinki has always been my second home until I moved here 2020. Outside of University realm I’m a poodle mum, tea enthusiast and I love good relaxing sauna, well who doesn't.

Fast Ry is an association which one might have heard some whispers in the wind, but never really seen anything, YET. It is focused for Fashion and FaCT students and the goal is to support our students spiritually, mentally, emotionally, intellectually and physically in forms of events and other interesting activities. Our association is still in its baby shoes and we have a lot of work to do to build it up, but let's have a blast while doing it!

Let’s plan something for our new and old students to gather together and meet each other after the summer. If you want to have a chat or if any support is needed, let me know and let’s figure things out!

Greetings living creatures!
We are bachelor students Miranda Hiidenkari and Laura Torkkola – the tutor responsibles from the department of film (ELO). We’re both also on the board of Klaffi ry – our student organization.

ELO is quite a small department here in Aalto University, so community spirit is a huge part of our studies. Because filmmaking is a group effort, not only do we meet new friends here but also long term colleagues!

As tutor responsibles, we want to ease the workload of tutors and make the start of school as simple as possible for the new students. It’s important to us to have functional and smooth communication. The principles of a safer space and having fun are also close to our hearts
